Spiti Prifti Apartments is a family run and owned apartment hotel in the village of Gouvia on the beautiful island of Corfu. The owners of Spiti Prifti Apartments, Leonidas and Maria Priftis and their family have lovingly looked after the complex for over 40 years. Over that time with much love and care for their guests and continual development of the premises, they have endeavoured to provide the highest standards of hospitality for all their visitors. Their commitment to ensuring their guests have the best of stays is the reason so many of them return year after year.
Meet the family
Leonidas Priftis
FATHER
Leonidas has been the owner of Spiti Prifti Apartments since 1980 when part of the resort was created. Since then he has been responsible for the development and continual renovation of Spiti Prifti’s spacious apartments, restaurant and poolside bar.
His love for the tourism industry in combination with his creative character, have contributed in establishing and maintaining a first-class service for holidaymakers from all over the world.
He is married to Maria and has two daughters, Eleni and Renia.
Maria Priftis
MOTHER
Maria helped Leonidas to establish and successfully run the resort. She mainly supervises the Housekeeping team as well as the Food & Beverage staff at the restaurant and poolside bar.
Eleni Priftis
DAUGHTER
Eleni is responsible for the management of Spiti Prifti. One could say she is the ‘heart’ of the resort as she takes care of most aspects of the premises such us supervising the reception, public relations and the resort’s marketing activities.
She is an extremely friendly young woman who is very popular with Spiti Prifti’s guests and has vast knowledge of Corfu and all it has to offer. Eleni is always available to help guests and make sure they are enjoying their holiday.
She has studied in the U.K. initially at Rugby school where she acquired her A-Levels and then at Oxford Brookes University where she obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel Management and finally at Surrey University where she was awarded a Master’s Degree in Tourism & Marketing.
Renia Priftis
ELDEST DAUGHTER
Renia is the family’s eldest daughter and she lives in Athens with her husband and two sons. Although she is not actively involved with the hotel’s operations, she is always keen to offer advice on how to improve our services.
Our Apartments
Spiti Prifti Apartments is a family-run and owned apartment hotel in the coastal village of Gouvia, Corfu. Spiti is the Greek word for home. We chose it because we’d like you to feel at home as soon as you arrive here. Set in a garden oasis near Gouvia Bay and the marina, our apartments and studios surround a large swimming pool and pool bar.
All of our apartments and studios are self-catering and fully equipped with excellent in-room facilities and amenities. Our pool bar serves breakfasts, snacks, evening meals and of course cool drinks anytime. According to the many guests who return to us year after year, the friendly Spiti Prifti team, well-appointed apartments, beautiful garden and pool area make the perfect place to stay on Corfu and is ideal for families with children as well as couples, singles and friends.
Our Perfect Location
We are especially proud of our beautiful gardens at Spiti Prifti. Masses of trees and flowers, from palm trees to colourful roses and geraniums, create a tranquil oasis in the heart of lively Gouvia village, less than 500 meters away. We’re also close to the international Corfu Marina and Gouvia beach, where you can enjoy a variety of water sports or hire a boat or take advantage of Gouvia’s many restaurants, bars, cafes and attractive nightlife.
Ideally situated on the coast in the centre of Corfu our apartments are a great location for those wanting to explore the island. With its beauty and history, Corfu island is a magnet for all visitors, no matter what age group or interest. Its ancient historical sites and serene landscape of olive groves matched with its stunning beaches offer you special memories and an unforgettable holiday
